Berwick Offray is the world's largest manufacturer and distributor of decorative ribbons and bows.
Founded in 1945 as a family-owned business, Berwick Offray is located in Berwick, Pennsylvania on the scenic
Susquehanna River. With over 1,000 workers, Berwick Offray is the largest employer in Columbia County.
Our original manufactured ribbon was a non-woven product know as "Satinette®." We later developed an all
plastic ribbon called "Splendorette®," which is still widely used for decorative packaging in the
United States and many foreign countries. Splendorette® is marketed for retail sales through leading mass
merchandisers, chain and variety stores, and through wholesale outlets for the packaging, floral and
craft trades.
As the producer of the most beautiful bows and ribbons in the world, each day looks like a holiday
at Berwick Offray. From traditional to cutting edge, from Christmas to the 4th of July - Berwick Offray adds sparkle
to every season, always keeping up with the hottest trends and colors for holiday decorating.
With the acquisition of C.M. Offray, in March of 2002, Berwick Offray has expanded their product offering to include
domestically manufactured narrow woven ribbons. Offray is known in the marketplace as the producer of the "world's
most beautiful ribbons." This marketplace name recognition combined with the distribution channels at
Berwick Offray makes a powerful acquisition.
In 1993, Berwick was acquired by
CSS Industries, Inc., a publicly owned company whose common stock is listed on the New York Stock Exchange. CSS also owns
The Paper Magic Group, which has headquarters in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and Minneapolis, Minnesota, and
Cleo, located in Memphis, Tennessee.
As the world's leading supplier of ribbons and bows, Berwick Offray strives to grow this position by
continuously improving the quality and scope of its products and services, and always exceeding
employee, shareholder, and customer expectations. |
